Chinese Massage

We offer various massage treatments for everybody, from pregnant women to athletes.
Iphie’s Massage Services is a company that specializes in Chinese massage. We understand the benefits of this type of massage and want to share them with as many people as possible. We know that not everyone has the same opinion on Chinese massages, so we will be going over what it means to have a Chinese massage, the types of massages, how they are performed, the risks involved with having one, and our experience in this profession.

Chinese massage is a type of traditional bodywork that has been around for centuries. It originated in China and was mainly used by Buddhist monks to help meditate and relax their bodies, but as time went on, it evolved into what we know today. Chinese massages are not only performed using your hands, or your palms, thumbs, or fingers; they can be done with different types of materials, like sticks made out of bamboo, which produce heat when pressed against the skin.

The philosophy behind Chinese massage

For the person who is being given a Chinese massage to fully benefit from one, there needs to be an understanding between them and Iphie’s Massage Services (masseuse) about where more pressure should be applied, because if too much pressure is applied, Iphie’s Massage Services could cause damage.

Types of Chinese massage and their benefits

Zhi Ya:

Iphie’s Massage Services believes that Zhi Ya massages are probably best for people who have chronic pain due to illnesses or injuries, but they can also be used as an adjunct therapy with other treatments like physiotherapy and acupuncture. We recommend this type of massage because they feel it will work slower than Tui Na since your hands need more pressure to release tension in your muscles, which could last anywhere from 20-40 minutes depending on what they are being asked by their clients to do for them.

Iphie’s Massage Services only offers reflexology as a treatment if it is requested by their clients. Reflexologists believe that the feet, hands, and ears all contain energy pathways that link to every organ in the body. We use this information to help with pain management by using pressure points on your feet or reflex areas of your hands. The sessions are usually 20-40 minutes long, depending on what we are being asked for by our clients.

Tui Na:

It involves the use of thumb pressure to release tension in muscles and is used for a variety of purposes, such as pain relief from joint or muscle injuries, increased blood circulation to certain areas (e.g., wrists), and help with deep breathing, which can be helpful when feeling anxious about something. The main reason Iphie’s Massage Services recommends Tui Na is because they believe it will work more quickly than Zhi Ya massages that involve your hands since we also do reflexology on you at the same time. It can last anywhere between 20-30 minutes, but sometimes Iphie’s Massage Services recommends a Tui Na for the first session to get things started.

How do we perform Chinese massages?

Iphie’s Massage Services is certified in Tui Na and Zhi Ya Chinese massage. We also offer I-V therapy with our massages to help boost your immune system, increase circulation and relieve stress on muscles through the use of a light salt solution.

Risks involved in Chinese massage

There are no known risks that come from receiving a full-body Tui Na or Zhi Yi session. However, if you have any medical concerns, we advise speaking with us for more information before proceeding with treatment plans.
